Chocolate Chip Muffins

Easy and delicious muffins the kids will love. Batter prepared from all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, egg, milk, vegetable oil, and mini chocolate chips. Baked until golden brown.

Ingredients -
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Sugar
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 Egg
3/4 cup Milk
1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
3/4 cup Miniature Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2. In a large bowl, combine the first four ingredients.

3. In a small bowl, beat egg, milk and oil. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in chocolate chips.

4. Fill greased or paper lined muffin cups three fourths full.

5. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Brief stirring of batter when mixing dry ingredients into wet ingredients will produce muffins with a high, rounded crown.

For muffin batter where the butter will be creamed, bring the butter to room temperature so it is soft and easy to mix with the beater.
