Wheat Germ Muffins

   
  Ingredients -
   
  1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1/4 cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Wwheat Germ
1 Egg, well beaten
3/4 cup Milk
4 tablespoons Butter, melted
1/4 cup Molasses
   
  Preparation:
   
 

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium-sized bowl; stir in wheat germ. Combine egg, milk, melted butter and molasses in a small bowl. Add to flour mixture and stir lightly, just until liquid is absorbed; batter will be lumpy. Spoon into 12 greased medium-size muffin pan cups, filling 2/3 full. Bake for 30 minutes, or until richly browned. Remove from oven and serve hot.

Makes 12 muffins.
