Wheat Germ Muffins

Muffins prepared from all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, wheat germ, egg, whole milk, melted butter and molasses.

Ingredients -
1-1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1/4 cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Wheat Germ
1 Egg, well beaten
3/4 cup Milk
4 tablespoons Butter, melted
1/4 cup Molasses
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium-sized bowl; stir in wheat germ.

3. Combine egg, milk, melted butter and molasses in a small bowl.

4. Add to flour mixture and stir lightly, just until liquid is absorbed; batter will be lumpy.

5. Spoon into 12 greased medium-size muffin pan cups, filling 2/3 full.

6. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and serve hot.
